Random haul

So today I went shopping and I thought I would do a blog post on the things that I got. I didn't get a lot but I thought that I would do a post any way.

The first place that I went to was boots and I got two things. I needed a new concealer as the one that I am currently using is nearly finished. I wanted to try one that I haven't tried before so I picked up the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. It was only £4.19 which is quite cheap. I have also heard good things about this concealer so I wanted to check it out for myself.

Boots are currently selling their gift sets for half price but they will most likely reduced the prices even more in the New year. So the next thing that I picked up was the Fearne Mini Collection. It contains mini products, a body wash, a body polish, a hand cream, a body butter and a body puff. They smell amazing. I have used the hand cream which makes my hands feel nice and soft. I have also used the body butter. The body butter is actually quite thick and I find it kind of awkward to apply to my skin. It also doesn't moisturise my body like other body butters that I have tried. The box that it came in is also really nice. I am using the box for my makeup. I am keeping the makeup that I always use on the box, I didn't want to get rid of it as it looks so nice.

Next I went to HMV and I got an Avenged Sevenfold poster. I actually went there to see if they sold any Teen Wolf posters, which unfortunately they didn't but I didn't expect them to so I wasn't very surprised but I wanted to check anyway. I remember I a few months ago I was looking for an Avenged Sevenfold poster there which I wasn't expecting them to sell either and they didn't have any at the time. But today they actually had one so I decided to purchase that poster.

The last place that I went to was New Look and I purchased a Nirvana shirt. I wasn't specifically looking for anything I was just looking around and then I saw the Nirvana T-shirt and because I like Nirvana I decided to purchase it.

That is everything that I bought today. Like I said it is not a lot but I thought that I would do a post anyway. To any one who reads this post I hope it isn't too boring and I hope you enjoy it.

What I got for Christmas 2014

It is finally Christmas day, so Merry Christmas everyone. So seeing as it is Christmas I decided to share with the readers of my blog the things that I got for Christmas. Also I am sorry for the lack of pictures but I just really wanted to get this post up.

One of the things that I received was money. Some of my relatives tend to give me money as they do not usually know what to get me. I also get a lot of chocolate and sweets. I got a tin of Swizzel Matlow sweets, a box of jelly babies, loads of smarties, blue raspberry bon bons, a box of maltesers, a box of minstrels, 4 bars of chocolate, a box of haribo tangfastics, a box of Maom pinballs and 4 packs of Maoms. I think that I may have enough chocolate and sweets to last me untlil next Christmas.

I got three mini deodorants, all Charlie deodorants. I got a Soap and Glory set which contains hand cream, body butter, shower gel, body scrub and a body puff. I also got a Radox shower set which contains two sower gels and a body puff. I also got some Breaking Bath, bath salts which are blue and it looks like blue crystal meth, like the one that they make on the TV show Breaking Bad.

I also got some clothes. I was given a purple Charles Wilson hoodie and an Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt .

The last thing that I got was my main present. I got given an Android tablet which I am using to write this blog post.

I think that is everything that I got for Christmas. It might not seem a lot but I appreciate all of the things that I got. Again I am sorry for the lack of pictures. Anyway Merry Christmas everyone.

December Favourites 2014

It is finally Christmas Eve and only one day until Christmas and I am literally so excited. Anyway today I thought that I would upload a post. I decided to do my December Favourites 2014 post. I haven't really been loving many products this month but I will tell you about the things that I have been loving even if it is very few.

The first product is a skin care product. It is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub. I won't go into depth about what I think of the product, but I will say a bit as I will most likely do a full review on this product in a few months or so. It moisturises my skin and makes it feel really smooth. It also smells absolutely amazing, and it is reducing some of the spots that I have.

The next product is a foundation. It is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. I like this foundation a lot, I won't go into detail about it though as I have done a review on it before. But I like it and it smells absolutely amazing. And I have been using it pretty much everyday this month.

The next thing that I have been loving is a lipstick. It is the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in the shade 26. I don't normally wear lipstick a lot, but this month I have been wearing it more than I normally do. I love this lipstick it is amazing. I don't like to wear dark lip colours as I don't think that I suit them so I tend to go for a light colour whenever I do wear lipstick. Anyway I have been loving this lipstick this month.

The last thing that I have been loving is Teen Wolf. I started watching it about two weeks ago I think and I absolutely love it. It is my new favourite TV show and the cast are amazing. I am on the fourth season right now, and then I have to wait until around Summer 2015 for Season 5. The first season has 12 episodes and so does the second season. The third season is split into two parts (3A and 3B) each part having 12 episodes, so 24 in total. The fourth season goes back to having 12 episodes. Then Season 5 is going to also be in two parts (5A and 5B), with each part having ten episodes each so 20 episodes in total.  When I watched the last two episodes of season 3B I literally couldn't stop crying. I know that I will definitely be re-watching all 4 seasons before the fifth season starts. If there is any one that reads this and is looking for a new TV show to watch and likes TV shows about supernatural creatures then I would recommend you watch Teen Wolf.

So these are all the things that I have been loving throughout December, I know it is not a lot but oh well.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

So I have had the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation for about two weeks now and I thought that I should do a review of what I think about it. I have been wearing this pretty much every day since I got ( apart from the day that I actually bought it and Sundays). The shade that I am is 103 True Ivory.

The first few times that I wore it it faded after a few hours but now it lasts longer. This foundation doesn't blend in with a brush very well so I prefer to use my hands to blend it in. The foundation is only really light coverage depending on how many layers you apply. If you apply one layer it is light coverage and if you apply two or three layers it is medium coverage.

Once I have applied the foundation my face looks really glowy so I have to apply powder to my face.

The past couple of days I have been applying three layers with powder on top and it seems to last longer, however after a few hours I have to top up my face with powder as the powder fades but the foundation stays put.

This foundation also smells absolutely amazing. I don't know what the scent it but it is literally amazing.
Overall I really like this foundation. I would give it a 8/10.

Makeup of the day

Today I thought that I would share with the people who read my blog (if i
any one does) what makeup products I used today.

Foundation: The foundation that I am currently using is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. I love this foundation however after a few hours it starts to fade so I have to put some more on. It isn't a full coverage foundation I would say it is a light coverage if you put one layer on but medium coverage if you put two layers on. It also doesn't blend in very well with a brush so i use my hands. Although this foundation has its flaws I do still like it and it smells absolutely amazing.

Concealer: I have to apply two concealers. I don't know why but I just like to apply both to make sure that no one can see the dark circles underneath my eyes. I only apply concealer to my under eyes because the concealers that I have do not cover spots or blemishes very well. The two concealers that I use are the Maybelline Super stay 24h concealer and the W7 cover stick which has tea tree oil in it.

Powder: Once I have applied foundation and concealer to my face I then like to apply a powder. The powder that I used today and the one that I always use is the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I have been using this powder every day for about a month and I absolutely love it. I have had it for quite a while but I never really used it. Luckily I have another one which I got at the same time so I can stat using that once I have finished the one that I am using.

Mascara: In the winter months I only apply waterproof mascara because at this time of year my eyes tend to water a lot and I do not want to be walking around with mascara all down my face. Normally I apply non waterproof mascara with waterproof mascara but even that doesn't work. So the mascara that I used is the Maybelline Illegal length waterproof mascara.

Lip balm: I like to apply lip balm on my lips before I put anything else on them. So the lip balm that I used today is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Mint Fresh.

Lipstick: I don't tend to wear lipstick a lot but today I decided to make an exception and wear one. I am not a big fan of dark lipstick I do have some but I don't wear them because I don't think I suit dark lipstick, but they were given to me from my friend so I wouldn't get rid of them. So because I don't like dark lips I like light colours to wear on my lips like nudes and light pink colours. So the lipstick that I decided to wear today is the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in the shade 26, which is just a nice nude colour.

So that is my makeup for today and mostly every day apart from the lipstick and I tend to change the lip balm that I use each day.

Victoria Beckham Nail Polish

Victoria Beckham has partnered up with Nails Inc to create her own nail polishes.

The full name of the collection is Victoria, Victoria Beckham for Nails Inc. The collection features two shades of nail polish. "Bamboo white" which is a delicate bone shade and  " Judo Red" which is a vibrant tomato shade. The nail polishes are packaged in opaque black and white bottles which are inspired by the Victoria Beckham Spring 2015 collection.

Each polish is priced at $25 and both polishes will be available in stores in February.

One of the best: Powders

Today I thought I would do another blog post on a product that in my opinion I think is one of the best. I have already done two blog posts like this before, so this is my third post of this type. I did a blog post on what I think is one of the best detanglers. I also did one on what I think is one of the best body creams. So I thought I would talk about one of the best powders in my opinion.

The powder that in my opinion is one of the best is the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I only started using this powder about  month ago when I ran out of the one that I was using at that time. I have actually had this powder for ages but I never really used it before, but I still used to carry it around with me because it comes with a mirror.

Like i said I only started using it about a month ago, and I have been applying it everyday on top of my foundation. I included this product in my November favourites 2014 post. It is just an amazing powder and I absolutely love it.

I hit pan on it today ( if that is the correct term, I think it is because I have heard it on many videos that I have seen), which is kinda sad. But luckily I have a second one of the product, which I purchased at the same time as the one that I have been using.

I will most likely start using that one once I have finished the one that I am currently using. All in all this is an absolutely amazing product and I love it. I have probably had this powder for about two years, but it is still okay to use.

Weekly dose of Kerrang! magazine: Issue 1546

It is that time of week again when I go and purchase Kerrang! magazine. So just like last week I thought that I would share with any one who reads this ( which is most likely no one) what I think is good about this weeks issue of Kerrang!

This issue comes with a 2015 calender. Each month there is a different picture of different bands in different seasonal scenarios. Lets start with January. The first picture is of Don Broco and the scenario is New Years Resolutions. The picture for February is of Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive and Gustav Wood from Young Guns and the scenario is Valentines Day. The picture for March is of Tay Jardine from We Are The In Crowd and the scenario is International Women's day. The picture for April is of Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember and the scenario is Easter. The picture for May is of Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides and the scenario is the General Election. Junes picture is of Biffy Clyro and the scenario is Festival season. Julys picture is of All Time Low and the scenario is Wimbledon. Augusts picture is of Ronnie Radke and the scenario is Summer. Septembers picture is of Frank Iero and the scenario is Back to School. The picture for October is the Clown from Slipknot and the scenario is Halloween. The picture for November is of Fall Out Boy and the scenario is Guy Fawkes Night. And finally the picture for December is of Gerard Way and the scenario is obviously Christmas.

Next onto the magazine itself. In this issue is an article about Being Me The Horizon. Which should be interesting to read.

There is also an article about Dimebag Darrell who was a member of the band Pantera who was shot dead on stage 10 years ago.
Also in this issue are some Christmas posters. The decent ones are of Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low, Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides, and You Me At Six.

Next weeks issue features an article about the band Foo Fighters. And an article about the Ultimate end of year albums list.

New foundation : Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation

The other day I ran out of the foundation that I was using and I needed to purchase a new one. So today that is exactly what I did.

I wanted to buy a foundation that I haven't used yet. So I decided to purchase the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation. I picked it up in the shade 103 True Ivory.

This foundation has got SPF 18. This foundation is supposed to be a traceless coverage foundation with advanced smart tone technology for perfectly flawless skin under any light. It is enhanced with Sapphire radiance for an illuminating glow and it is supposed to last all day.

I cannot wait to try out this foundation and see what I think of it. I picked it up from Stonelakes  for £5.80. It is originally £6.99 in Boots but luckily it was cheaper in Stonelakes which is where I purchased it from.

November favourites 2014

So one of my favourite videos to watch on YouTube is monthly favourites videos. I don't know why but I just like to see what products people have been loving each month and to see if there is any products that I would be interested in purchasing for myself.

Anyway I thought that I would share my November favourites with any one who reads this.

So in my November favourites I have four categories. The first is face and body, the second is hair, the third is makeup and the last is TV.

Starting with face and body. In this category I have three products that I have been loving this past month. The first is the Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser. I apply this every morning to my face before I apply my makeup. It is an amazing moisturiser and it makes my face feel nice and soft. The second product is also a moisturiser for the face. It is the Simple Replenishing rich moisturiser. I apply this to my face at night. This too is an amazing moisturiser and it makes my face feel soft. The final product for this category is also a moisturiser but it is a body moisturiser. It is the Jergens Daily Moisture body moisturiser. I apply this to my dry skin on the bottom half of my legs and the top half of my arms. It is amazing and I have already done a blog post on it.

The next category is hair. In this category I have two products. The first is the insette dry shampoo in blossom. I apply this to my hair when I don't wash it because I only wash my hair every two days and it is amazing. The second product is the Toni & Guy prep detangler. I apply this after I have washed my hair as it is supposed to be applied to wet hair. I have also done a blog post on this.

The third category is makeup. I have three products in this category. The first is the Maybelline nude airfoam foundation. I have only just started it this month as I ran out of my other foundation. It is amazing it gives good coverage and I absolutely love it. The second product is the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I started using it this month and I really love it. I have had this for two years but I have never really used it. The final product is actually a makeup brush and it is my 17 kabuki brush. I have had this for a few years and have only started using it. It is big so gets a lot of product on and makes it easier to apply product to the face. It is also soft and I use it to apply my powder.

The last category is TV. There has been one TV programme that I have been loving this month. That programme is Modern Family. I started watching it this month and it is really good. I am currently on the fourth season.

So that concludes my November favourites for 2014. If you have read this post (even though no one will) I hope you enjoyed it.

Friday 28 November 2014

One of the best: Detanglers

So my hair always gets really tangled and I always have to use detangler. In my opinion one of the best detanglers is the Toni & Guy Prep Smoothing Detangler.

This detangler is supposed to help tame frizz and flyaways for smoother, more manageable hair.

The directions to use this are:  comb a walnut sized amount through damp hair then heat style or let hair dry naturally.

I use this after a bath or shower if I have washed my hair. I just comb some of the stuff into my hair and I let my hair dry on its own.

All in all this is an amazing detangler it untangles my hair. But I do need to get a detangler for dry hair so I can put that on when I don't wash my hair because I wash my hair every two days and it is always night.

Weekly dose of Kerrang! magazine: Issue 1545

Every week on a Friday I get the new issue of Kerrang! magazine. So I thought I would share with any one who reads this (even though its probably no one) the good stuff in this weeks issue.

As you can see from the front cover this magazine has a lot inside however not all of it is good.

A good article in this weeks issue is the 101 Moments That Rocked Your year. In this article it goes through the 101 different things that rocked peoples year. Also in this article some of the Stars say their rock in moments e.g. Andy Biersack, Alex Gaskarth,  Jeremy McKinnon, Dave Grohl, Oli Sykes etc. I will put some of the moments that I think are good but I won't put all 101 moments because this blog post will be too long otherwise. Here are some of the moments that I think are good: Introducing Andy Black, Paramore vs Bieber, Avenged conquer Donington, Horizon steal Download and AC/DC The Worlds Best Return. These are the moments that I think are the best.

Also in this issue is an interview with AC/DC, on their return. I haven't read this article yet but it looks like it will be interesting to read.

Also the issue comes with six posters. But there are only three that I will put up on my wall. They are the one of Dave Grohl, the one of Hayley Williams, and the one of Andy Biersack.

In next weeks issue of Kerrang! you get a 2015 Kerrang! calendar. Which is on sale on December 3rd but I will get it next Friday.
