Book Wrap Up March 2015

Normally every month I would do a monthly favourites post but I thought that I would stop doing those posts because I am kind of getting bored of them and I don't think many people are reading them.

Anyway instead of a monthly favourites I thought that I would do a post where I talk briefly about all of the books that I read that month. So I am going to start with March.
I know this post is a bit late as we are already 5 days into April but oh well. Anyway in March I read a total of 13 books.

The first two books that I read was Catching Fire and Mockingjay, the last two books in The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins. I know I am very late reading these and I had actually seen all of the films that are out so far before I read the books. So I kind of knew what was going to happen. Anyway I read the first book in February, and I read the last two in March. Both of these books are absolutely amazing. My favourite character in the whole trilogy is introduced in Catching Fire ( Finnick Odair). I absolutely love his character and Finnick is absolutely amazing and I love him so much, and Sam Claflin does an amazing job of portraying Finnick in the films. I also cried so much near the end of Mockingjay, and I know that I will end up crying at the end of Mockingjay part 2 when I watch it. These books are very well written and I love Suzanne Collins writing in these books. This series has made me want to read more of her books. Catching Fire is definitely my favourite of the whole trilogy.

The next book that I read was The Book of Lies by Mary Horlock. This book is set in Guernsey which is where I was born and where I live. Which I think is actually quite cool. However I didn't enjoy this book very much. It is about a girl named Catherine who pushes her Bestfriend off of a cliff after an argument. The build up to the incident is really boring. The book mentions the incident a lot earlier in the story before we actually find out how the whole thing happened. At the end of the story you find out that Catherine was writing a story for her mother. I think the concept is quite cool but the story itself was quite boring.

Next I read The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. This series consists of six books: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, and City of Heavenly Fire. These books are absolutely amazing and they are definitely one of my favourite book series. Cassandra Clare's writing is absolutely amazing, and soon I am going to read The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. The Mortal Instruments is about Shadowhunters who are half human, half angel beings that kill demons. There are also Downworlders (vampires, werewolves, faeries and warlocks) who appear in the books. The main protagonist of the series is Clary Fray, who sees three Shadowhunters kill a demon when she is out at a club with her Bestfriend Simon. The main antagonist of the first three books is Valentine Morgenstern, and the main antagonist of the last three books is Sebastian Morgenstern. Normally people don't like the antagonists of books because they tend to be evil, however I actually love the antagonists of this series. I also ship Clace (Clary + Jace) and Male (Magnus + Alec) so much. I absolutely love this series. This series has made me want to read more of her books and I will read more starting with the Infernal Devices Trilogy. I also cried at least three times at the end of City of Heavenly Fire.

The next book that I read was Taylor Lautner  A-Z by Sarah Oliver. This is an A-Z biography of Taylor Lautner's life. I bought this book when I was absolutely obsessed with Taylor Lautner. I still love him but I am not as obsessed with him as I used to be. This book was interesting and I liked learning more about his life.

The next book that I read was Prom Nights From Hell. This book is a collection of 5 short stories about paranormal Prom nights. This book was really good and there was only one story that I didn't enjoy. The stories are: The Exterminator's Daughter by Meg Cabot, The Corsage by Lauren Myracle, Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper by Kim Harrison, Kiss and Tell by Michele Jaffe and Hell on Earth by Stephenie Meyer.

The next book that I read , I actually finished in an hour. It was Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen: Our Story. It is a short biography about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. I loved learning more about their life because I love Mary- Kate and Ashley. It was really interesting.

The final book that I read in March was Stephenie Meyer : Queen of Twilight biography by Chas Newkey Burden. Stephenie Meyer is one of my favourite authors ever, so I loved reading this biography about her. I loved learning more about her life and it was just an amazing biography.

That concludes this wrap up post. If anyone is reading this I hope you enjoy it.

On Fire: A Teen Wolf Novel Book Review

Image result for on fire a teen wolf novel

I absolutely love reading, and I own lots of books. I hadn't read a book in ages, but at the start of this year I started to get back into reading. And over the past two months I have read about 7 books. So I thought that I would start doing book reviews on the books that I read. So today I am starting with a book review on the book On Fire: A Teen Wolf Novel. So lets get started. I apologise if this review kind of sucks, I am not very good at reviews but this is a post that I really want to start writing more.

On Fire: A Teen Wolf Novel

Author: Nancy Holder

Genre: Young Adult

Based on MTV's hit TV show Teen Wolf.

In Beacon Hills a mountain lion is blamed for a spate of vicious attacks; Scott McCall wishes the cause was that simple. Unfortunately hiding his werewolf identity, especially from Allison Argent while fighting his need to shift is only one problem.

Keeping his mysterious murderous, Alpha off his back (literally), avoiding hunters, deciphering strange dreams about flames and impending doom... is really eating into lacrosse practice and hang out time.

When Jackson Whittemore doesn't show for his date with Lydia, Scott hopes that helping Allison track down their buddy will be simple.

Derek whose hunger for vengeance blinds him to the dangers that lie in wait and Stiles are also looking but the worried teens search is leading right to the preserve from Scott's nightmare.

They aren't the only ones in the woods, and their little trip starts looking less like a rescue mission and more like an elaborate trap. One that will force them to make the choice between killing and being killed.

I absolutely loved the TV show, so when I found out that there was a book based on the show, I knew I had to get it and read it. And I am glad that I did because it was a really good book. This book is an essential for fans of the show.

The books only has 19 chapters which is OK but I wish there was more chapters as I loved this book so much.

The storyline kept me intrigued and I literally could not put the book down. It was that good.

If you are a fan of Teen Wolf and haven't read this book then I recommend that you do, because it is amazing.

I hope that Nancy Holder will write another Teen Wolf book as this was so good.

I give this book a 10/10.

February Favourites 2015

As you can tell by the title, this is my February favourites post. I know a lot of people will say this but, I literally cannot believed that February is over already. I won't be doing a worst of post this month because there is nothing that u have been hating this month, apart from college. Anyway here are my February favourites.

The first thing that I have been loving is a foundation. It is the Rimmel Lasting First finish 25h foundation with comfort serum. Apparently this is supposed to be a full coverage foundation. I have never owned a full coverage foundation so I don't really know what to expect. But I reckon that this foundation has pretty good coverage. Anyway it is a gods foundation and I love it.

The second thing that I have been loving is an album. The album is Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon. It is an amazing album and I love it. I have been listening to it a lot and some days I even listened to it about four times a day.

The next thing that I have been loving is a set. It is the Soap & Glory Orangeasm set. The set consists of the Orangeasm body butter, Orangeasm body wash and the Super Tonic fragrance. I love all three products they are amazing and they smell absolutely amazing.

The last thing that I have been loving in February is books. There are 6 books that I have read this month. The first book I started at the very end of January and  finished at the very start of February but I thought I would include it in this post. The book is called On Fire, and it is a Teen Wolf novel based on the TV show Teen Wolf. The book is amazing and I enjoyed reading it. The next 4 books are the Maze Runner series. They are called The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure and The Kill Order. The Kill Order is actually a prequel to the Maze Runner trilogy. I didn't enjoy the prequel as much as the other 3 books but it was still a good book and I enjoyed all 4 of these books. The last book that I read this month is The Hunger Games. I enjoyed this book too and I can't wait to read Catching Fire and Mockingjay.

So that concludes my February favourites post. I hope you enjoyed this post.

Worst of January 2015

Like I said in my January favourites post, every month I am going to be doing a worst of post, where I talk about the things that I haven't liked so much this month. In my January favourites post I also stated that I had prepared this post beforehand, so I apologise of its in a bit of a random order.

The first thing that I didn't like this month is a TV show. The TV show is The Missing. I really did not like this TV show. The first two episodes were okay, however the rest of them I found really boring and depressing. I also found the ending of the show was pretty rubbish.

The second thing that I didn't like was a film. The film was The Wolf of Wall Street. My brother kept pestering me to watch it, he said that it was a good film, and that it is probably his favourite film, however I didnt like it that much, I found it pretty boring. No offence to anyone if they like this film, but I just didn't like it.

The third thing that I haven't been loving this month is a body butter. It is the Fearne body butter from her Mini Collection. I like the smell of the product, however I really do not like the consistency of the product. The consistency is thick not creamy like other body butters that I have used. Also the body butter is not very moisturising like all of the others that I have used.

The next thing that I haven't liked too much this month is another TV show. I apologise if some of you reading this like the TV show but this is just my opinion on it. The TV show is Sons of Anarchy. I started watching it this month, and to be honest I am not a big fan of it. I find that it is quite boring. However, I will watch the rest of it as I don't like starting a TV show and then not finishing it, regardless of whether I like it or not. So even though I don't like it too much I will finish watching every season.

The last thing that I haven't been loving is completely random. I have absolutely been hating college this month. It has been stressing me out so much. I got an extra lesson on Monday's. On a Monday my day used to be 10:00am until 2:30pm. Now it is 10:00am until 4:45pm. The day is just so long and on a Thursday my day is 9:00am until 5:00pm. I have also been hating the assignments that I have veen getting. It isn't the amount of assignments that I hate, it is the time that we get to do the assignments. We only get a week per assignment for most of the assignments, which would be OK if the assignments weren't do hard. The long days at college also make me so tired and the lessons are so boring. I got given an assignment earlier this month, and we had only had 2 lessons on what the assignment was about, so I didn't understand anything that in was writing and I will most likely fail that assignment, because I have no idea if anything that I have written is correct.

Anyway that concludes my Worst of January 2015 post. I hope it isn't too boring.

January Favourites 2015

Today I thought that I would post my January favourites post. I know it isn't the end of January yet, but I wanted to get this post up and I won't be using any new things enough the rest of this month for them to be a favourite.

Normally every month I only do monthly favourites posts, but starting this month I am also going to do a worst of type post, where I will talk about the things that I have not been liking in that specific month. However there may not be a lot of things that I haven't liked but there is bound to be a few so I will still talk about them.

I apologise that this is in a bit of a random order, I prepared it throughout the month so as I used something  watched something etc I would prepare what I was going to say about it on this post as I knew it would be a favourite of mine. It is the same for my worst of post and it probably will be for the rest of my favourites and worst of posts, as I find it a lot easier, than writing it all at once.

Anyway this is my January favourites post and I will post my Worst of January post in a few days.

The first thing that I have been loving this month is a song. I first heard this song when Ben Haenow sang it on the X Factor. When he sang it I thought it was a good song, so this month I decided to listen to the original and I have just been loving it and I have had it on repeat a lot this month. Anyway the song is Demons by Imagine Dragons.

The second thing that I have been loving is a concealer. It is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I have been using it everyday that I have been wearing makeup and I just absolutely love it.

The next two things that I have been loving this month is two hand creams. The first one is the Fearne hand cream from her mini collection and the second is the Soap & Glory Hand Food. I have been alternating between the two throughout the month and I love both of them. I will definitely have to repurchase the S & G hand food in full size as I love it so much. However I won't be able to repurchase the Fearne Hand Cream because it only comes as a part of her Mini Collection.

The next three things that I have been loving this month are all by Soap & Glory. The first is The Righteous Butter, body moisturiser. This body butter is absolutely amazing and it smells amazing too. The second thing is the Soap & Glory Clean on Me creamy moisture shower gel. This too is amazing and it too smells amazing. The last thing is actually quite a bit random. It is a body puff ( that's what I call them , anyway they are the things you tend to get in a gift set with shower gel) . It was in the Soap & Glory set that I got for Christmas, anyway it is just really big and I just love using it. (Sorry if that's random).

The next thing that I have been loving is a TV Show. It is Pretty Little Liars. I have always loved this show since I started watching it, it has always been amazing but recently it has been even more amazing.

The next thing that I have been loving this month is a body mist. Earlier this month I bought the Jack Wills body mist trio, and throughout this month I have been using the Hope Cove body mist, it smells amazing and I can't wait to try out the other two that came in the set.

The next thing I have been loving is a book. The book is Chris Jericho's third autobiography , which is titled The Best In The World At What I Have No Idea. I literally love this book and sometimes I laugh to myself because some of the stories in this book are funny.

The last thing that I have been loving this month is a lip balm. It is the ChapStick in Original. My lips have been very dry this month so I have been wearing lip balm a lot and I have been reaching  for this ChapStick a lot and I love it.

So that concludes my January favourites post. I apologise if it is too long and I will post my Worst of January 2015 post in a few days.

Liebster Award

Okay so I was nominated to do the Liebster award the other day by Makeup by Meggy. I cannot be bothered to follow all of the rules.

Anyway here are the rules:

Thank and link the person who nominated you.
Answer the questions given by the nominator.
Nominate 11 other bloggers (who have less than 200 followers) and link them.
Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer.
Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Okay so like I said I am not going to follow all of these rules, as I just want to get this post over and done with. I mentioned who nominated me but I couldn't be bothered to link her blog (sorry Im too lazy). I will answer all the questions. I will create new questions for nominees. But I can't be bothered to choose 11 people to nominate, so if you are reading this post and you have less than 200 followers then I nominate you.

My answers:

What's something you can't live without? My phone. I cannot live without my phone. I have to have it on me at all times, it has to be in my pocket or right next to me, at all times, apart from when it is on charge in the day, but Im okay with that because I know exactly where it is.

What was/ is your favourite subject in school? When I was in school I absolutely loved History. I really just liked learning about the past and stuff. I also liked Maths.

Favourite animal? Cats. I love cats. Knowing me one day I will probably be like the cray cat lady from The Simpsons.

If you could live any where in the world where would it be? California. I don't know why but ever since I was younger I have wanted to live in California. And I still want to live there.

Who's your favourite youtuber? This is actually quite hard. I love so many youtubers so I will just mention a few of them. Danisnotonfire, ThatcherJoe, Zoella, Lauren Curtis, Tanya Burr etc.

Favourite quote? My favourite quote is " If someone breaks your heart, just punch them in the face. Seriously punch them in the face, and go get some ice cream." I love this quote.

What is your favourite way to spend your spare time? On the internet, watching TV and sometimes reading.

What is your favourite makeup or clothing brand? I don't really have a favourite clothing brand. And I haven't really used many makeup brands, I think I have only properly used three (Maybelline, Natural Collection and Rimmel), I want to try more. So I would probably say out of these three I prefer Rimmel, although I have only ever used three products from Rimmel, so far. Anyway my current favourite makeup brand is Rimmel, I want to try a lot more makeup brands, I also want to try the higher end makeup brands too.

What is the best holiday you have been on? Okay, so I haven't actually been on holiday before, which I know is weird, but the furthest that I have been away from Guernsey, is Jersey. Even though that was only a day trip, out of all of the other islands that I have visited Jersey was my favourite.

Who is your beauty inspiration? I have no idea

What is your biggest dream for your future? Umm. I guess it will be to Meet Dylan O'Brien if that happens, then I will be able to die happy.

My Questions for you:

1. Who is your favourite youtuber?
2. What is your favourite TV show?
3. What is your dream job?
4. When did you start your blog?
5. What is your favourite film?
6. What type of music do you like?
7. Who is your favourite author?
8. What celebrity do you really want to meet?
9. What is your favourite animal?
10. What is your favourite quote?
11. What is something you can't live without?

So this concludes this post. I apologise that there is no picture, and I apologise that I didn't follow all of the steps. So I nominate any one that is reading this, that has less than 200 followers, and wants to do it. I also know that some of these questions, I answered myself, but I found it hard to think of questions.
